
It creeps from the furthest corners,
The ones swathed in raven black shadows
It lurches forward, beady scarlet eyes leering
It rears towards me, stained razor sharp fangs
Disguised by a familiar face
A fetid scent reeking of unknown horror
Fills quivering nostrils
A part of my mind refuses to believe,
Such a monstrous fiend
Can’t possibly exist in reality
But then I solemnly remember,
All the horrors of this cruel world
Are merely man made

Yeah, this is definitely one of the darker poems I’ve published here. 😅 I do agree that the message of it is quite frightening. It was interesting to write about, though. Thanks for reading and commenting! 😀
