All the Horrors

Photo by Engin Akyurt on Pexels.com

It creeps from the furthest corners,

The ones swathed in raven black shadows

It lurches forward, beady scarlet eyes leering

It rears towards me, stained razor sharp fangs

Disguised by a familiar face

A fetid scent reeking of unknown horror

Fills quivering nostrils

A part of my mind refuses to believe,

Such a monstrous fiend

Can’t possibly exist in reality

But then I solemnly remember,

All the horrors of this cruel world

Are merely man made

    1. Yeah, this is definitely one of the darker poems I’ve published here. 😅 I do agree that the message of it is quite frightening. It was interesting to write about, though. Thanks for reading and commenting! 😀
