Grateful for the Memories

Love spoiled,

Rotting into resentment and envy,

A bittersweet symphony

Romance nurtured

Into a fragrant blossom,

Only to wilt in the lust

Of a dark, hazy night

Love so toxic,

Hunger so delicious

Even if I’m allowed to feast

For just one more night,

I’ll always have the memories,

You entwined with me,

Limbs joined together

A waltz of passion,

A fling to barely last through summer,

A night, deep down,

I eternally treasure

For that, I’ll always

Be grateful

My love, thank you
