I reviewed an excellent horror graphic novel a while back. This was The Empties, written by Kristen Renee Gorlitz and illustrated by Eli Powell. It’s a fantastic story that focuses on the humanity and dynamic of a romantic relationship, in the wake of a zombie pandemic. I enjoyed reading it immensely. In fact, I gave the graphic novel a five-star rating in my review, which you can find here.
Right now, Kristen is running a Kickstarter to fund a hardcover version of the complete graphic novel. It features a variety of tiers and rewards, including gummy bear pins and signed issues of single The Empties comics. The campaign has a goal of $6,666 total, and it’s currently sitting at $5,638. It’s so so close to being funded! But, there’s just over one day left.
Like I said before, The Empties is an incredible horror story of how relationships can fall apart, and how that downfall can inspire madness. It’s unique, clever, gory, poignant, and full of emotion. So, if you’re able, please consider supporting this wholly original tale! It deserves the support, and its brilliant creators do, too!
Back the Kickstarter!
Let’s get this amazingly horrific story funded together! You can back the Kickstarter campaign here!
