An Easter Message

Today is Easter Sunday! I know we may not be able to do all that we normally would for the holiday. Our gatherings are limited, so we can’t spend it with all the people we normally would. Churches can’t hold in-person services today, or for the foreseeable future.

In my own case, it’ll be just my mom, my dad, my brother, and I celebrating in the house this year. Usually, we would have my other two brothers over, along with my grandma. However, my mom does in-home daycare for a living, and as such, there’s no telling what we could be exposed to at any time. We especially can’t risk my grandma’s health right now. So, we won’t be inviting anyone else over.

For many people, this day may be a lonely one, and that’s perfectly understandable. But, I still think we should try to make the most of it. There are still many things we can do at home for the holiday. If you’re religious/spiritual, you can tune into a virtual church service. For children, you can still host an Easter egg hunt at home by hiding candy and other goodies around the house.

Maybe you can connect with a few friends over video chat and have a fun virtual party. You can just chill with your family and marathon movies. Do whatever will make you happy on this day, and the following ones, too. I hope you have a truly wonderful, blessed holiday! You all deserve it!

I’d love to hear what you’re doing for Easter! Let me know in the comments below! 😄
