Smile bright like sunlight

Since birth, you’ve held me with love

I adore you, Mom

I wrote this poem for my mom last year, to express how important she is to me. My mom is truly a crucial part of my life, and I can’t imagine how it would be without her. She’s been by my side my entire life, through all kinds of hardships and joys. I love and treasure my mom more than words can say. She will always be one of my absolute favorite people.

Fortunately, my mom and I already live in the same household. So, we’ll be able to spend the entire day celebrating together. However, I know many people won’t be able to visit their mothers in-person today. My heart goes out to all those that will be separated this Mother’s Day. I so hope you can find another way to connect today, whether it be through call, text, video, or something else.

And to all the mothers out there, happy Mother’s Day! Raising children is very possibly the most important job in the whole world, and you’re all amazing for doing it. You are some of the kindest and most caring people I know of. The world and its children are so lucky to have you. 💖
