In the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking about my blog schedule and how often I post. I love blogging with all my heart. It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m very grateful to finally have my own blog. It has been wonderful to connect with so many amazing people, too.
I typically post six to seven times a week, once for each day. Since my posts are usually of my original poetry, they’re fairly easy to prepare, and I don’t really have to do any research. However, I think this schedule has become too intensive for me. Honestly, I’m feeling a little burnt out trying to put content together every day.
Like I said before, I absolutely adore blogging. But at the same time, I don’t want it to become something that’s more of a chore than actual fun. And I don’t want to spend so much time on blogging that it takes too much time away from other important things.
That said, I have absolutely no intention of no longer blogging. I will still post on a regular basis and keep the blog active. I’m going to do that on a smaller scale, though. I’m thinking that I’ll aim for four to five posts a week and see how that works. I definitely want to keep my feature posts, including Monday Motivation, Feline Friday, and CIB Sunday. That should leave room for one to two poetry posts every week.
I also want to work on creating longer, more involved posts with more research/information behind them. And I still have several blog awards I’m super behind on (sorry about that to anyone who’s nominated me). I’d like to catch up on those and make some posts that explore other interests I have besides poetry. Finally, I’ve been neglecting reading posts and visiting other blogs, which is something I definitely want to get back into. I miss seeing your wonderful posts and commenting on them like I used to. I’m hoping to change all this as soon as possible.
I’m going to implement the new schedule this week, so you won’t see as much of me as usual. Despite the new changes, I still have Monday Motivation, Feline Friday, and CIB Sunday planned for this week. I’ll have a couple poetry posts going live as well.
Of course, I’m open to feedback from my readers! If you have any thoughts on the new schedule, or have a post you want me to create, I’m completely open to hearing suggestions! Thank you! I appreciate each and every one of you. 💖
Hope the new schedule works well for you!

Go back to Nov 2019 and update and repost some of your earlier posts as necessary. New pictures, added ideas, etc. Nothing is static, nothing is fixed. I do it often and reach new audiences.

Thanks so much for the advice! That’s a very good idea, and I think I will do that with some of my earlier posts. The font’s way too small on many of my old posts anyway, so they could definitely use an update. Thanks again! 😁

Take a published post, move it to drafts, update and republish and you will reach new and old followers. I do it all the time and it can double the views, likes and comments. I also update and even add new art, etc.

That’s a great idea! I’ve just been reblogging old posts, but that would probably be a much better way to share them again. Thanks for all the tips and tricks! I’ll be giving this a try, for sure!
