Ode to Autumn

Deep crimson,

Bright amber,

Burnt ochre,

The vivid colors

Of beautiful autumn

The sweet fragrance

Of newly ripe apples

The cinnamon spice

Of freshly baked pumpkin pie

The dim glow of

Jack-o’-lanterns,

Illuminating the night

The time of year

When ghouls and goblins

Make their appearance,

Ready to play and jest

The crisp air,

Pure and frigid,

A breath of freshness

The season of life

Where I feel most at home

Lovely autumn days,

Lifting my spirits

And making my soul sing

    1. Yes, there are so many things to love about fall! 😄 Curling up with a blanket and a cup of coffee or apple cider, watching all the horror movies, breaking out the fun Halloween decorations, and the yummy seasonal food; I love it all! 💕 Thank you so very much!! It makes me really happy to hear that! 😊💖
