It can feel like life is so hectic at times, as we scramble around to meet work deadlines, make it to social events, transport children to school and extracurricular activities, and do other aspects of adulting. At the current pace of today’s world, it’s so important to remember our own health and take time for ourselves every once in a while. And I think cats are a great example of what this looks like. They sleep and rest all throughout the day, every day, and while many of us may not have the luxury to do quite that, we can still learn a valuable lesson from our fur babies.
Sometimes, we just need to take a moment for ourselves, time to rest, relax, and unwind. This could be taking a long soak in a warm, bubble-filled bath. It could be curling up on the couch with a cozy blanket and a good book. For some of us, it could even be just escaping to the bathroom for a few minutes of peace and quiet from children. Whatever our preferred form of relaxation happens to be, it’s vital we remember to set aside those little moments for ourselves. Our fur babies are very wise and we can truly learn so much from them.
