I’d like to take a moment to honor Martin Luther King Jr., an amazing person who played a huge role in the American civil rights movement and spoke out about racial segregation. He addressed issues like racial injustice/inequality and the right to vote, and worked to change this country for the better. Martin Luther King Jr. saw glaring problems in the world and in America; instead of turning a blind eye or staying silent, he chose to speak up and fight for a better world, a better country. So many years later, his legacy still remains strong and lives on. His messages of equality, justice, and freedom still ring in the hearts and souls of people today. And MLK’s hope for a better world still sparks within people wishing for the same.
There is so much to be learned from Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy. Although progress has been made over the years, there’s still so much more to be done. Even now, there’s still blatant racism, injustice, and inequality in the world and in America. We need to continue pressing for positive change and betterment for our world, for ourselves, for our family and friends, for all those who have been wronged. We need to keep Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy alive, always. So today, and every day, let’s remember the world he dreamed of and work to make it a reality.
