It’s important to preserve our relationships with family, friends, and partners. It’s important to look out for our loved ones and make sure they’re doing alright. But remember, it’s just as crucial to look after ourselves and make sure we’re in a good place physically, mentally, and emotionally. While it’s great to be there for our family and friends, we need to make sure we’re also thinking of ourselves. We shouldn’t put so much of our time and energy into caring for others that we forget to look after ourselves. Doing so can leave you feeling drained, exhausted, tired, unhappy, and a myriad of other negative emotions. Our loved ones would never want us to feel this way, especially not because of our devotion to them. So of course, reach out to the people you love and check in on them, but in the process, don’t forget to consider your own health and happiness. You are important, too.
