- Constantly cleaning up messes
- Scooping cat litter
- Wondering why only one litter box is used when there are three in the house
- Refilling food and water bowls every day
- Worrying about what the kitties will get into next
- Always putting things away and out of reach so the cats can’t get them
- Continuously being surprised by what your cats manage to get into anyway
- Agonizing over the health and well-being of your kitties 24/7
- Rushing to the vet over the slightest health scare
- Waking up at 3 AM to the sound of crazed yowling and cats stampeding through the house
- Having heaps and heaps of responsibility
Being a Cat Owner Is Also…
- Always having a cuddle buddy
- Feeling warm and fuzzy all the time because you love your cats infinitely
- Adoring the sound their little paws make as they play and roam about
- Smiling and laughing at kitty antics
- Constantly being entertained by all the things your cats do
- Spoiling your cats with all the treats and toys they could possibly have
- Spending money and even more money on spoiling your kitties
- Gladly cleaning up after your cats because you just love them that much
- Going to sleep surrounded by fluffy babies each night life
- Getting headbutts, cuddles, and kitty visits all day, every day
- Loving every single moment of your life

Aww this is such a sweet post & I love that you highlighted the not-so-fun things but also the best things about owning a cat. Today my daughter told me we need a bigger house so we can get a cat 😭

You’re welcome! My parents had a barn cat (they’re both allergic) so we didn’t have to deal with all the cons, but there are so many benefits to having a cat!
Now my daughter wants a dog because my parents have 2 haha

It’s awesome they had a barn cat, even while being allergic! And yes, absolutely! There are so many great and beneficial aspects of having kitties. I can definitely say I’m much more happy with my cats than I would be without. 😊 That is so funny! 😆
