A love that can no longer flourish,
Shattered into slivers of translucence
Ivory flowers that will no longer bloom,
Wilting in a desolate field
The moon shines down,
Casting a gentle aurelian glow
Over a world descended into chaos
Two halves suddenly severed,
Lovers separated by the cruel hand
Of a merciless fate
Lunar tears softly stream down,
Leaving a trail of starlight and
Bittersweet memories behind

This poem was inspired by one of my favorite video games, Final Fantasy XV. I was immediately drawn into the story, which is beautifully executed. It really resonated with me. It’s a story of love, loss, adversity, and perseverance. These are all things people experience in real life, too.
And to date, Final Fantasy XV is the game I’ve cried at the most. Truly, it is a video game that invokes the utmost of emotions. If you haven’t played this game yet, I’d highly recommend doing so. It’s a real gem in the RPG genre.
