Lightning Bug

Precious little lightning bug, 

I’ll cradle your gentle lunar glow 

In the palm of my hand

And never let it go

Your brilliant light that shines

Even among a night sky

Dotted with shimmering stars, 

I’ll keep it safe from harm

And allow it to gleam 

In all its wondrous beauty

Precious little lightning bug, 

Forever and always, 

I love you
