If you’ve been regularly following my Feline Friday feature, you may remember I had a post about a Valentine’s Day themed castle I got for my kitties back in February. This castle is meant to be a big scratching post for kitties, with cardboard walls and decorations completing the castle aesthetic. The top platform and bottom interior platform are also made of cardboard, but it’s the corrugated kind that’s meant to stand up to active, feisty kitties. Well, it apparently couldn’t stand up to all four of my kitties for very long, haha! 😺
After just a couple months, the kitty castle has been absolutely shredded by the mighty claws of Zen, Bell, Karma, and Kash. The cardboard looks like a dilapidated patchwork of the castle it used to be, and the top platform actually broke in half. Now, you might be wondering how the top split in two. Just yesterday, Kash leaped from the top of the cat tree down to the top castle platform, and as it turns out, the platform can’t quite hold up to that amount of force. The platform collapsed under poor Kashy right as he landed! Thankfully, he’s completely okay and unscathed, although, he was pretty shocked at the time!
So, the kitties now have a torn apart Valentine’s Day castle with a broken second floor. 😅 But, they all still seem to like it quite a bit, and that’s the important part! Well, that’s my wild kitty story for this week! 😁😸 I hope you enjoyed it! And let me know in the comments below if your pets have ever completely destroyed a toy you got for them! I’d love to hear about it.
