Seasons through the Window

Photo by Ryutaro Tsukata on Pexels.com

Every day, I stare out the window

As time passes, so too do the seasons

From my perch, I watch each one unfold

Splotches of crimson and auburn

Drift down, leaves joining their fallen brethren

Flakes of ivory snow float from above,

Painting the earth into a winter wonderland

Fresh flowers sprout from fields of forest green,

A vibrant garden of color spreading along

Golden slants of sunlight pour down,

Bathing the world in gentle heat

Every day, I stare out the window,

A new example of natural beauty

Playing before my eyes
