It’s important to preserve our relationships with family, friends, and partners. It’s important to look out for our loved ones and make sure they’re doing alright. But remember, it’s just as crucial to look after ourselves and make sure we’re in a good place physically, mentally, and emotionally. We shouldn’t put so much of our time and energy into caring for others that we forget to look after ourselves. Doing so can leave you feeling drained, exhausted, tired, unhappy, and a myriad of other negative emotions. So of course, reach out to the people you love and check in on them, but in the process, don’t forget to consider your own health and happiness. You are important, too.

Remember that it's okay to take a break, especially with everything going on in the world right now. Never feel bad about taking a break from your socials or scrolling the news. At times, it's necessary to preserve our emotional, mental, and physical health by keeping ourselves away from sensitive and/or triggering content. So take time for yourself when you need it, stay away from social media when necessary, and only expose yourself to as much as you can personally handle.

It's okay to take a break if you need one. Sometimes, we just need a bit of time to relax, rest, and refresh. This is necessary for all aspects of our health and well-being. Powering through mental, emotional, or physical exhaustion can easily lead to burn out and make our overall well-being even worse. So, please remember, take time to rest when you truly need it. That's essential for every factor of your health and happiness.
Feline Friday #37 – Take a Cue from Cats!
Cats are the masters of relaxation, as they spend most days basking in the sunlight, eating, and sleeping. Sometimes, we need to take a cue from the kitties around us and do as they do. Take a day or two just for yourself. Spend that time soaking up the sun by taking a nice walk around the neighborhood or just sunbathing in the yard at home. Use the day for cat naps and binging Netflix on the couch.
