Sunlight filters down, Piercing through fluffy white clouds The golden rays are comfortably warm, Wrapping the earth in their embrace
It may not officially be summer yet, but we're well into its weather where I live. For the past couple weeks, temperatures have been in the 80° to 90° range. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of such warm weather and constantly feel like I'm melting, haha. I can tell you with absolute certainty that my kitties are loving the recent weather, though!
So, with a small but knowing smile, The girl always thinks to herself, "It's okay, you don't have to love me."
Oh, how the moon longed for it To be with her sun But deep down, in a sliver of herself The moon never wanted to acknowledge, There was crushing doubt Flooding insecurity Thoughts of how she'd never be bright enough To match the sun she so loved
I'm so ready for (continuous) warm, sunny weather, and I know my kitties are, too. I can tell they're already missing that dearly. The kitties haven't been perching by the windows or resting on the floor by the door, because sadly, there's barely been any sunlight shining down. So, I'm absolutely certain my cats will be overjoyed when spring finally returns and is here to stay!
